Walden Retreats is a place where tranquility and nature come together. Experience unparalleled relaxation surrounded by nature in our exquisite safari-inspired glamping tents located in the breathtaking Texas Hill Country with stunning views of the Pedernales river. Our property offers a selection of 15 rooms, including 7 suites and 8 studios. Each room has been thoughtfully designed to combine the luxurious amenities of a hotel with the excitement of the great outdoors.

Decided to go here for a staycation birthday and it did not disappoint. Tents were comfortable and cozy. Amenities were on point. The quietness was peaceful. And the views were abundant. I would, however, suggest the lower tents/suites for the better views but even though we had a higher one, we still thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

This was my first experience with a yurt and I absolutely loved it. The location is gorgeous, the room was amazing and fully stocked with cookware for my meals. I ordered the steak (tender and juicy) the stores, and hot chocolate. It was all waiting for me in the mini fridge. The soaking tub was awesome! If you follow the directions for everything, it all works like a charm. Also, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! ,beautiful view day and night
I highly recommend to anyone who likes to camp but doesn't Want to deal with sleeping on the ground and dealing with the elements.

What a location! What a break from day-to-day life. The accommodations were amazing, having everything you needed and the cabins far enough away from each other to really escape. Despite the weather being rainy, it was such a wonderful time. Definitely first class in my opinion.

I brought my company to Walden Retreats for two days for our holiday party and retreat.

We wanted to send the biggest thank you as my team was blown away by every single element of Walden during our stay for the Silhouette Group holiday party and retreat. The setting was absolutely spectacular and the GM Amber and her team were amazing every step of the way. It was so special to share a place that holds such a special place in my heart with my team.

Thank you from the bottom of each and every one of our hearts. It was a weekend filled with so much magic - the kind that only Walden can provide!! And please send our deepest thanks to everyone that was on site. I know they all work so hard to keep it going on a daily basis.

My husband and I will be back soon and we cannot wait!!

We hosted our company holiday party at Walden this year and it was a 10/10! We loved the lodge where we had dinner together and spent time out on the lawn. There was a burn ban during our visit, but we still had a really great time together in this beautiful setting. Thanks! See you again soon I hope.

Amazing glamping experience for first time glampers! The location was perfect- quiet, serene, lovely vista. The tents were sturdy- we felt very safe in 30mph winds! The best part- it was comfy, cozy, with all the extras and kitchen-bath necessities that make this resort a 5 star. The outdoor shower, clawfoot bath tub, and fire pit were the pluses. This resort was well thought out to make sure every need was accommodated. The staff was very friendly! I'm afraid future glamping experiences may pale in comparison to Walden Retreat...and if it does, we will be back!!

We had a wonderful time. The yurts are far enough away from civilization to enjoy peace and quiet. But they're close enough to good dining, small shops, and nature sightseeing opportunities. The dark skies and astronomy are great. The Yurt furnishings are top notch. Our hostess Amber is very friendly and made us feel right at home.

This place was so beautiful. My husband and i needed a small get away from the hustle and bustle of life. This was perfect. So serene and quiet. The employees were beyond helpful and nice, they made the whole experience. We will definitely be back.

One of the most fantastic vacations I/we have ever taken was at Walden Retreats!!! The staff, refreshingly minimal, was so helpful and thoughtful. The tents are beyond what you'd expect, but what is most refreshing (literally) is the complete ability to disconnect, get off the grid, and connect with your partner/mate/date/whatever. All the beauty of the Texas Hill Country, which is sacred, if you're from here, and none of the hassle inherent in a "digital life". No passwords for Wi-Fi, because there is none, thank goodness. We are already planning our return trip and will be scoping out any new locations Walden develops because, well, the concept and ethos are that amazing

Walden Retreats was the perfect glamping getaway for us. We were looking for a place to disconnect from work and this was accomplished through the beautiful accommodations they provided. It was quiet and peaceful on the property and the tent had everything you needed to cook. Driving into town was only 10-15 minutes and it was fun to explore the wineries and local shopping.

My husband and I got married at The Walden Retreats through Boxwood Hospitality. From the incredibly awesome Hill Country "glamping" venue, to the gracious and timely service, and our "month- out" planner, Maggie, that was with us through every detail from the beginning, Boxwood and The Walden Retreats is beyond an incredible experience. From the moment we booked with Boxwood we met our planner and hit the ground running. I was looking for a totally hands off experience with a wedding a planner, she was more than an answered prayer to this. We got to pick out all the "fun things" and she did the rest. Once I outsourced my flowers and DJ she got in contact and did all the rest. Food provided through the venue was not your typical "wedding food," let me tell you. Our chef was absolutely incredible, he took the time to get to know us and curated a very specific menu to who my husband and I are. He did our rehearsal dinner, day of breakfast, lunch, and reception. The absolute best and highest quality food. From the moment we showed up to the venue until the very end I cannot believe the service that was provided to us by our planner, Maggie and the staff at The Walden Retreats. I did not lift a finger my entire wedding weekend, to say the least, all so kind and willing to do anything to make our weekend wonderful. We were greeted with welcome cocktails, had an incredibly intimate rehearsal dinner, with all my guests staying on-site in their very own tent, which was much more than a tent. Each tent had gorgeous amenities, incredible views, a lovely kitchenette, and an awesome outdoor patio and shower. The day of my wedding was relaxing and absolutely beautiful, including a hike on property. The lodge at The Walden Retreats is beyond words beautiful, my ceremony was on the lawn with an incredible Hill Country view and reception in the lodge that had a beautiful live wall and homey, modern, vintage airy space that my guests have not stopped raving about. I cannot believe all that The Walden Retreats was and the service from early morning breakfast delivered to our tents to late night s'mores service that was truly remarkable. Seriously the experience using Boxwood and being at The Walden Retreats created the most unreal, beautiful experience for my guests and my husband and I will treasure our wedding weekend forever because of them!!

We had such an incredible time on our visit...
The staff (especially Becky) made us feel so welcome.
Thank you for keeping your slice of heaven natural and wild. We had some incredible birdwatching opportunities at your bird feeding station and down by the river.
The only thing as impressive as the birdwatching was the stargazing opportunities. The dark night sky was such a breath of fresh air.
The yurt was perfect and the super comfortable bed was a highlight!
We hope to visit again soon. Love- Amanda and Hector
