The Velvet Lounge is a lively spot on Main Street in downtown Fredericksburg, open every day of the week. We had a great time here. Our bartender, Tyler, was awesome. Even though he had a lot of guests at the bar, he was very attentive and very friendly. He took great care of us. Our drinks were made to perfection. We'll definitely be back.

Stopped here for a Bachelorette trip! On the just bar side we were taken care of by Ricky, we LOVED Ricky!! He even came to the karaoke side after and sang for us! The entire staff on the karaoke side was AMAZING we had the best time ever. Danielle (who we found out was the owner) bought us a round of Jello shots because she loved our vibes.

We had such an amazing time that we came back the next night (tonight). We had the same experience if I could give more than 5 stars I would. This is the place I'd be a regular at if I was local. Come here with friends and have a blast and tip your servers!!!

Our bachelorette party had SO much fun!! They made the bride and all of us feel so special. Danielle is amazing (singer and bar owner) and Ricky took GREAT care of us! He even made a specialty cocktail off of my request. THANK YOU!

I didn't eat here so I cannot rate the food. But we came here last year and had a fabulous time. This time the manager was a jerk. Better places to go in Fredericksburg.

I'd give it a zero if possible. We were denied admittance with the claim that we were intoxicated, which we were not. After reading all of the reviews for this place, it appears that the staff are rude and often deny entry for unwarranted reasons. In hindsight, I'm glad they lost our business.

My sister was having her bachelorette, we tried to go there as our first pit stop and they said they didn’t have space , then it changed to we were too drunk to go in.. we were 100% sober. Then we tried later on in the night, and they called the cops on us saying we were trespassing, even though we were on the sidewalk. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE WITH ANY PARTY OVER 5. listen to the reviews!! The bouncer was overly disrespectful, then the owner came out, pointed her fingers in our faces and stated she was calling the cops? The cops were fully on our side. i’ve never experienced a manager be more disrespectful and awful to people who are just trying to give her business. The “reasons” kept changing over and over. According to the reviews, they hate bachelorette parties. 0% recommend, will not be going back. Owner and bouncers were the most ignorant people i’ve ever met.

Our group of women (all over 50) were denied entry because we exhibited signs of “drinking” prior to coming in. No one in the group was loud or using profanity or falling over. We suspect we didn’t fit the profile of the preferred customer due to our age.

Rejected us because of racism and 'drunk' when we had not been drinking! Wild move for sure. They should not be representative of Fredericksburg. It's an absolute disgust. Please don't support this business. We are absolutely appalled as a group of mid thirst year olds!

Read other 1 star reviews on Yelp and Google, please! This will save you the headache from CHRISTINE THE MANAGER. A group of friends were celebrating for a bachelorette party- singing karaoke, dancing, and of course wracking up our tabs with drinks. After several hours of our group bringing the good energy, here comes Mall Cop Christine ready to poop on the party!! She kicked us out for no apparent reason, we assume it’s because we had over stayed our welcome and there was long line at the door. This was the first time myself or anyone in my group had ever been kicked out of a bar! Please DO NOT waste your time or money here- it’s so unfortunate that poor management can really shape the whole experience. The rest of the staff were great but will not be returning in the future.

The bartender turned us away after having 1 drink before saying one of our friends was too drunk. Picked and chose who could go into the bar as 21 WITH A COVER CHARGE. was going to have my bachelorette party here and bring hundreds of dollars to the bar because it was the one we were most excited to go to. But ABSOLUTELY NOT after the interaction with the bouncer that we had. Completely rude and uncalled for. It was either Christine or Destiny and it was a horrible experience.

Wasn't my cup of tea. Mostly because I was hungry and didn't want Mexican food. Also, Wasn't a fan of having to ad an app to my phone just to see the menu. The overpriced shot I ordered was bad. The Karaoke 🎤 was fun.

Had a great time walking into the velvet lounge on an easy Monday night. The bartenders were friendly and helpful right off the bat! The drinks were great which makes the karaoke only sound better lol! Christine was the most hospital, giving us great recommendations and good company. We’ll make this a staple after just 1 visit

My Family and I visited Velvet Lounge and will consistently return! The atmosphere, cocktails, customer service are excellent. We are ALWAYS greeted with a smile and the Karaoke is awesome. Locals and tourists will enjoy this spot for years to come. If you like a good vibe….join in and sign up for a song. I CAN GUARANTEE THEYVE GOT THE COLDEST BEER IN TOWN!

We're excited to try the food next time we visit. This place is so much fun! We arrived around 7:30pm on a Sunday and the rotation was only a few people. We loved how friendly the staff were and all the comfy furniture options. Though it was already busy so get there early to find a good seat, especially if you're in a group larger than 4. We noticed that though it was busy, a lot of people were just watching singers so if you love karaoke, you get to sing quite often. Several people were eating out of cardboard boxes. It looked delicious but we didn't eat there. Drinks were good and our server checked in on us pretty frequently. We had a blast! I highly recommend this place! Oh, and children are allowed until 8pm.
