What an absolute gem of a place!!! The hostess is one of the kindest persons ever and we were welcomed very nicely for our visit. The property has a very calm, relaxing vibe and a great weekend getaway. It is conveniently located close to both Pedernales Falls State Park and Frederickberg from where we went to Enchanted Rock. The rooms and amenities are exactly as described. There are quite a few great locations to dine and the hostess was kind to make some recommendations. Overall I would rate it 5 stars. Highly recommend.

I had the best sleep—seven peaceful hours—at this sweet, rustic inn in Johnson City, TX. It’s not fancy, but that’s part of the charm. My cottage was spotless, the bed super comfortable, and the quiet made it easy to truly relax. I loved walking the grounds, taking photos of the wildlife and animals. Kristin, the owner, was warm and helpful, even pointing me to a great local coffee spot. A perfect escape from the hustle of modern life.

Great place to rejuvenate. It was so cool to wake up and see chickens and Nigerian dwarf goats. I stayed in the Lavender Cottage and it was lovely and very clean. It was a real treat to be able to bring my horses and keep them close. I can’t say enough about the management at Crossroads Inn. Kristin made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. She is absolutely delightful. I will definitely be back.

I can't tell how comfortable and lovely The Crossroads Inn is! Kristen is so welcoming and we appreciated her hospitality. After driving close to 4 hours to deliver a wedding cake, we just wanted to relax...The Crossroads Inn allowed us to do just that! We'll definitely stay there again!

I stay here regularly. Beautiful classic Texas Hill Country style inn. The comfortable rooms are nicely decorated & furnished with nice views of the bucolic picturesque country setting. I enjoyed walking around the 6 acres of the scenic property which has 6 goats, many chickens, wild deer, large birds, a pretty garden and many gorgeous big old oak trees.

The owner Kristin is very helpful and provides excellent service.

We love to travel, and I always search for the most magical and charming properties, The Crossroads Inn is absolutely delightful! We had never stayed in Johnson City previously, but we are already planning to go back to stay with Kristen at The Crossroads Inn, we can’t wait! It’s been a long time since someone took the time to talk to us when we arrived and she gave us excellent advice on places to eat, and things to do. We stayed in the Rosemary Cottage and the beds were comfortable, the rooms were lovely, and very clean and very cozy! The garden, the adorable goats, fancy chickens, and a family of deer over the back fence made my walk on the property such a cheering adventure . Our Johnson City holiday was so good for our souls! And don’t miss those stars at night!
PS Back for our 4th stay, December 5, 2024! it’s become a favorite tradition! Kristen always goes out of her way to take care of her guests, we always can trust that our stay will be wonderful! We’re ready to book our next stay!

The location of the home is great! The rooms and service met expectations for a 3 star motel BUT I would suggest that the description be updated as the website advertises the place as a
B & B which means bed and breakfast. There was no breakfast included.

See clip from the website description:
A breakfast buffet is provided. There's a shared porch, a cottage-style garden and an on-site farm.

I stayed at the rosemary cottage for the weekend and had a lovely time! The property is pretty with flowers, stretched along the backside, and some goats and chickens too! Everything in town is so convenient, you can even walk there if you like. Several cute shops, galleries, and places to eat.

Kristin is a super host! She checked on me a couple times and it’s just a lovely person all around! I would definitely come back here and recommend it for a quiet getaway.

The cottage had bathrobes, a mini fridge and a Keurig machine and microwave. And Hulu for TV if you chose to stay in.

The rosemary cottage was an open concept in the main room. With a separate small bedroom off the main, furnished with two twin beds if you had guests. A closed door for the small bedroom for privacy. The bathroom was off the main room, and perfectly tidy and well appointed. Soaps and shampoos, and a hairdryer were provided!

Water was nice and hot and there was an AC and heat unit for perfect temperature. A cute little back porch with a table and chairs for your enjoyment too!

What a cute little country town! Very peaceful yet many things to do locally. There was a motorcycle museum, Lyndon B. Johnson Center & Homestead, and a small local Nature park (Pedernales River Nature Park $5) minutes away.

Wildflower Season in April made it extra special! Flowers blooming on every roadside and field!

I would definitely come again !

My wife and I stayed there for a night and wished it could have been longer. Owner was pleasant and friendly. She seems most helpful recommending things to see and places to eat.

The room was a great bed and very clean and well maintained. Sleep very well.

The grounds are amazing, deer walking nearby, she runs a chicken rescue on property and the farm animals are fun to watch and photograph. The large tree swing bench was great for an evening wine with my wife and taking pics of the birds, butterflies and flowers were amazing.

Overall experience was a 5 star.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in The Lavender Cottage at Crossroads. It was comfortable, especially the bed, and clean with Wi-Fi and steaming available. The atmosphere at the Inn was so peaceful and charming with gardens and animals. Kristin is a wonderful host and always accessible. As for location, it was convenient to all the local wineries, and to Fredericksburg, which is where we planned to explore! If we go back to the area, it will definitely be the place where we will stay again.

We definitely recommend this place. We stayed in the main house. Very comfortable bed and very clean room. We saw painted buntings, deer and a very chatty squirrel in the back yard area in the morning while making coffee. We have traveled all over the hill country for over 10 years and this is one of our favorite stays. Johnson City is not as busy as Fredericksburg and in our opinion has the better wineries nearby especially Farmhouse Vineyards.

Everything as advertised and great place to stay. The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable. Very convenient to the wineries that are close to Johnson City and the owner is terrific. If I were to complain about anything it would be that the TV is tiny (I didn't know they still made them that small LOL), but not a big deal. Definitely will be back on a future trip.,

Loved this place! We stayed in the Lavender Cottage which accommodates two couples. The beds were very comfortable. The owner is so nice and helpful. This would be a great location for a group trip. The outdoor area is spacious with several picnic tables and a fire pit.
