What makes it fun

A live music venue founded in 2007, The Rockbox Theater sits 99 steps off Fredericksburg, TX's historic Hill Country main street. Since then, our theater has thrilled thousands with the best tunes ever penned. Rockbox, a modern concert venue in a former furniture warehouse, respects the building's industrial history while adding cleanliness and accuracy. Rockbox originally focused on rock 'n' roll and 1950s-1960s music, but in 2012, we added unique events to suit our music lovers. Our professional variety live-music programs, including tribute bands, original artist series, and more, are unique to Fredericksburg! Country, rock 'n roll, classical, and holiday concerts. A lovely little, cozy theatre! We watched the Beetles, Beethoven and Beyond on a Friday night and had a great time. There are beverages and packaged snacks available to enjoy before and during the performance. It's also convenient to a number of eateries in Fredericksburg as it's right off the main street for pre- or post performance meals, making for a truly lovely date night. We'll be planning on seeing more performances here.

Lovely intimate theater, however, paid for 60 min of music, and got a lot of TALKING. Also, can’t enjoy the music when you ask the crowd (who can’t sing) to sing along. This was the Beatles, Beethoven and Beyond show.

I was very disappointed with the chaos of seating arrangements. Your ticket had a letter/number but people were allowed to change their seat if they didn't have enough leg-room. Our 6th seat was not with our group. I had to sit separately from the rest of my family.

We bought tickets for a Catelina Wine Mixer concert on May 23. We got there to find a note on the door that the INSIDE event had been cancelled (by the theater) due to weather. (It was supposed to rain this weekend but ended up being fairly nice weather) We spent $260 for 4 tickets that I'm having trouble getting a refund for. I have called and left messages at the theater. I have also emailed and got a message back that I have to go thru Prekindle. I have tried to call Prekindle and all I get is a message that I have to go thru the website and then it hangs up. You cant talk to anyone. I have emailed Prekindle only to get a returned email that says undeliverable. It looks like this theater gets to keep my $260 for something they didnt follow thru with. DO NOT purchase pre sale tickets from this place. You wont get it back if there is a "chance for rain" .

Went to the Woodstock Tribute show and it was incredible! Went over a month ago with my husband and his friend from out of town! We weren’t sure but to expect but we had a BLAST! The staff there are also friendly making the experience all the better :) looking forward to the next show experience here. The singers were OUT OF THIS WORLD talented!

The Rockbox is a fun place to go for friends and family!! Everyone is always so happy and enjoying the music.Ive been many times but this time was really neat getting to see and meet Johnny Lee "Looking for Love 🎸🎸"

My first time in a theater we saw a tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd the band was awesome what a cool little theater I would recommend anybody going there we had a blast will return

Up from South Padre Island, We needed a pause for the cause! The Fburg never let's us down. We've seen numerous shows here @ the Rockbox throughout the years. Once again, the sound and lighting were spot on! The band was stellar to say the least! We've grown accustomed to awesome performances at this incredible venue. Needless to say, once again, they didn't disappoint. My 87-year-old father had a fantastic experience! Sure wish South Padre Island had this level of entertainment. Once again, the Hill County will have to do....

Venue took me back in time. Wonderful and helpful staff. Comfortable seats and authentic stage. Saw Elvis tribute band by Donny and loved every single song!!
