What makes it fun

Our wine is driven by flavor balance, fruit quality, and craftsmanship. Owner and winemaker Rarig Ross started in the wine industry in 2009 in Gainey Vineyards' tasting room. He became an apprentice winemaker under Ryan Devolet at Refugio Ranch Vineyards after discovering his passion for wine. From cellar to tasting room to corporate office, he's worked in the wine industry. His custom crush company, California Wine Company, serves clients worldwide and was founded in 2015. Rarig and Ellery married in 2016, had Ferris in 2019, and Fletcher in 2021. While visiting custom crush clients and relatives in June 2020, Rarig and Ellery visited Fredericksburg. They immediately fell in love with the town and surrounding area and decided to raise their children there.

Very modern tasting room with super friendly staff. However the wine itself falls pretty flat. For whites, the Hill Country offering was somewhat vegetation tasting, and the Chardonnay blend was very buttery. The reds were all very similar tasting and bland. Cute family and story, but I wouldn't recommend a visit here.

We had the best time at Ferris and Fletch today. Our small group from church met, and Emma took great care of us. Their wine is delicious. It is totally worth the trip to the far end of Main Street! We will be back for sure.

This is the most welcoming place with wine as delicious as the ambiance! Smooth and cool, just the right vibe to enjoy great conversation and distinguished vines! We especially loved the 2022 White Wine Blend!

What a perfect place to wine down with the people you love! We came for a birthday/Father’s Day weekend, and this was by far the best stop. The wine was amazing, the service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made it even more special. Highly recommend!

Great location on Main Street! Staff was so friendly and very knowledgeable. Feels like a local gem. Back outdoor space is beautiful. Highly recommend. Everything we had was delicious. It was hard to decide which ones I wanted to bring home.

We have enjoyed this place since it opened. We always stopped by and would grab some wine and head out. We have since become members. When you have a chance, come check it out. The back is finished and is an excellent place to hang out with family and friends.

The absolute best wine room tasting experience we had while in Fredericksburg for our girl group of 6. Debby was a gem of a human being. She was warm, welcoming and educated us on the wines we were tasting….we felt like we had known her for years and we were a part of the family. This is a family run winery in which the owner/wine maker has poured his heart and soul not only in to the wine but also the build out of the facility. It is beautiful modern farmhouse with a breathtaking patio outback that still has some bells and whistles being added. The wine is from Cali and I didn’t have one that I didn’t enjoy. I am typically a red only girlie but this place had me buying their Chardonnay and white blend to bring home along with the Syrah. Top Notch experience, so much so I became a member. Low pressure relaxed environment. Do yourself a favor and pay them a visit….we did, both nights we were in town.

My boyfriend & I stopped here right when we pulled into town and we had the most amazing time. Either make this the last stop or don’t bother going anywhere else because everywhere else will disappoint you. Rarig was an amazing host, extremely knowledgeable, and is more than happy to explain each wine in both simple & complex ways. We ended up spending most of the afternoon here with no regrets. 1000/10 recommend.

I stopped by Ferris & Fletch expecting to pick up a bottle of rosé or another white for some poolside sipping. Instead I took home two other wines that pleasantly surprised me, the Sta. Rita Hills Chardonnay & the Carbonic Mourvèdre. The owner, Rarig, led the tasting and I could tell how passionate he was about the winemaking. All the wines I tried were unique and delicious. I’m still dreaming about the Mourvèdre and I can’t wait to swing by again in the future.

GREAT spot!! Went there on a moms trip and loved this place. Also, there’s a cute boutique that shares a wall with this place so it’s a perfect place to grab a glass while your friends shop. The owner was super nice had adorable kids pics in the background and even agreed to take a photo with his magazine feature. (Which honestly, he was so humble and probably embarrassed but still nice!!) haha! But that’s how great this spot was. I recommend adding it to your list for your vacation!! The reds were my fav in the city!
