What makes it fun
Our wine is driven by flavor balance, fruit quality, and craftsmanship. Owner and winemaker Rarig Ross started in the wine industry in 2009 in Gainey Vineyards' tasting room. He became an apprentice winemaker under Ryan Devolet at Refugio Ranch Vineyards after discovering his passion for wine. From cellar to tasting room to corporate office, he's worked in the wine industry. His custom crush company, California Wine Company, serves clients worldwide and was founded in 2015. Rarig and Ellery married in 2016, had Ferris in 2019, and Fletcher in 2021. While visiting custom crush clients and relatives in June 2020, Rarig and Ellery visited Fredericksburg. They immediately fell in love with the town and surrounding area and decided to raise their children there.
