What makes it fun

The quaint city of Fredericksburg, Texas is home to the family-run Country Inn & Cottages, which are both privately owned and operated. We have two different properties, one of which is an inn that is only five minutes away from the center of Fredericksburg; the other is a collection of cottages that are situated on a ranch that is 200 acres in size and are just five minutes away from the center of Fredericksburg.

This place is an absolute gem! We are staying in one of there cottages which is about 5 miles from the main Inn rooms. We were in cottage 1, but when we arrived, there had been an issue with the A/C and they upgraded us to what I think is the nicest Cottage here! We have a gorgeous view, and fireplace, and a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom!😍 And the gentleman who checked us in was exceptionally kind! I will most definitely stay here again!

This was the best choice for our girls’ trip! Eight women with eight bedrooms—fantastic attic setup. Full kitchen, fire pit, pool! Great breakfast options with included vouchers.

Located extremely close to downtown Fredericksburg on the same road. The owners are extremely kind the rooms are extremely clean very comfortable feels like being at home the Furnishing is just lavish beautiful wood there are amazing wood benches out in front of doors for smokers complete with individual ashtrays for each area. The space in the room is perfect. I slept in the most comfortable king sized bed, I don't think I've ever been so comfortable in a hotel and I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my life. Thank you guys for your hospitality and everyone reading this, this is the place you want to stay.

This place was so clean, friendly owners and workers. Everyone around was polite. The rooms weren't huge but they was nice 1st 2days we had the king bed and the 2nd we got the 2 queen room but cute has everything you need. You go to the little office and get coffee and little pastries was very cute. There pool was even clean and open for it being Oct. Would definitely recommend staying here

We come as often as we can! The prices are always reasonable, the location and views are incredible, the cabins are so nice that we just want to live in them! We’ve been three times this year, and plan to be back this winter. The properties are just outside of historic downtown Fredericksburg where there are tons of shopping and food options. 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

Highly recommend!! Rooms are clean and housekeepers make sure you have clean linens everyday! You are minutes from Fredericksburg downtown!

Absolutely loved our stay in the cottages. The property is amazingly quiet and we had some very relaxing decompression time. A little wild life to witness if you're up early enough. The cottage was nicely decorated and we enjoyed the jacuzzi. Definitely recommend this place of tranquility.

The important things to us are clean rooms, comfortable beds and reasonable pricing. Country Inn & Cottages fills these perfectly. Clean rooms, well kept for an older property. Beds are great. Staff and check-in/out process, great!

We’ve been going to Fredericksburg for Oktoberfest for 6 years. This year was our 5th at Country Inn. The staff is super friendly and look forward to us coming every year. The rooms are quaint and clean. We love staying here!

We stayed at the country inn to celebrate my birthday. To start off, the only complaint is that the showers are tiny.... With that out of the way, the beds were comfortable, it got cold at night in the middle of June, it was a quiet stay, parking wasn't a hassle. They were very friendly and accommodating at the front desk, such amazing customer service. Unfortunately on my trip,my husband left his ring on the sink just before we got the last of our luggage in the car, we didn't realize it was left behind until we got back to San Antonio. I called and they said they would put it on hold in the lost and found should we be able to make it back although we couldn't. They happened to be in San Antonio and offered to drop it off but I was asleep and missed the chance to get the ring back TWICE. I told the owners that its ok if we don't see the ring again as shipping it would be the cost of postage and I would rather him have a new ring that fits better. Although my husband is bummed because he loves the ring and would rather have me pry it off his cold dead fingers, we bought him a new one in place of the one that was "lost". It's now August and I checked the mail and I see an envelope with "country inn & cottages" marked as the return address and my face lit up. I video called my husband who just went to break and I let him read the envelope and his reaction was priceless. I opened the mail and dug the ring out and showed it to him so he can see that it really was his ring and he was so happy. His reaction, his response, his smile made me happy. We are so thankful for how much the country inn has helped us get back my husbands ring. It's very inexpensive and very affordable, but it's the ring that he loved, the ring that he wants to keep forever because of the sentiment. Gas would've cost twice as much as the ring just to get it back when we would be able to get one that fits better rather than keep the one that slides right off his finger 😅 now he has a new ring that fits perfectly, and his original that we're going to keep locked away safely. We appreciate everything the country inn has done to get the wedding ring back to my husband. Thank you so much!

I love seeing old roadside motels getting the love/upkeep they deserve. Cute country theme with lots of outdoor seating. The room smelled clean. No musty old mildew smells. AC/heater worked well and you can tell they were thoughtful with the furniture in the room. You get a desk, armoire, microwave, mini fridge and I was shocked they had one of those luggage rack things. I haven't seen one in a long time. It was nice to keep our luggage off the floor. It's close to main Street. Just a minute or two drive. They have a pool, but it's January so we didn't try it out but it looked clean. Would definitely stay here again! The property is very well maintained and while it is old, you can tell lots of love was put into it.

We are staying our Honeymoon here as I speak and it’s the most amazing place. The owner Jeff and the staff Jeanette and Arron are so sweet and have made our stay here so amazing. The rooms are so clean and love the fireplace and bed is so comfortable. We will be coming back here several times a year if I have my way . Thank y’all for making our stay so awesome.

This is a hidden gem of a place just outside of Fredericksburg. Love seeing the cows, deer and wild turkeys. It’s more relaxing than the downtown area, but, only minutes away! Would be a great area for a family reunion! Love the decor!

Absolutely loved this inn. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. It smelled great when we first walked in. It doesn’t have carpet so that was awesome. No feet smell! Friendly staff, they make you feel welcome and have friendly smiles. It’s quiet and safe. I even walked around the property and was impressed how quiet it was. Complementary Coffee and pastries every morning. Affordable and decent. I highly recommend this inn.

This place is awesome! Clean rooms, clean bathrooms, clean beds. It smelled great when I walked into my room. The owner and staff were very friendly and professional. I really hate telling you how Great it was and is, in fear of not being able to get a room when I need one in the future… lol also!!! The price is right!!! If you want a great place to stay when your in Fredricksberg and not break the bank. I recommend Country Inn and Cottages. I will definitely be going back. Stay Blessed

We were pleasantly surprised. We were looking for a halfway point on our motorcycle trip to Galveston. We didn't want to spend a lot of money for a place to just lay our head for the night. I found this place online and read the reviews. I was a little skeptical, but I thought, what the heck? "I'll give it a shot." I reserved 2 rooms with king beds in the motel in town. $58 each plus tax. Not bad. I figured what was the worst that could happen. Lol... We arrived and checked in, the rooms were very nice. The beds were very comfortable. After a long day on the motorcycle, it was a great place to sleep. There are only 2 negatives that I saw... 1) The pillows were way too soft for me, and I didn't see an extra one for me to double up. 2) The shower is maybe 4x4, and the shower head is on a long hose. I'm 6' 225lbs. My shoulders were almost touching side to side. My friend in the other room was 6'6" 280lbs he definitely had a hard time. Both of our wives are under 5'7", and they said it was also hard for them to shower. Besides how tight it was, with the shower head not being fixed, the hose will eventually create a memory and only stay in a certain position. If I tried to adjust it, one way it shot out the shower curtain, adjust it the other way, and it pointed at the side wall. Just make them fixed in place and save the hassle. Besides the minor inconvenience listed, we will definitely be staying there again.

This is our first time here and we love it! It has a lot of personality. The beds are super comfortable and soft (not hard like so many other places) and the pillows are great too. The room is cute and well stocked. We have a refrigerator and microwave in our room! The towels are super soft and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have do not disturb signs which I appreciate. I don't like to be woken up by room service at 8 with a loud knock. It's the worst. The air conditioner works great. There are drawers but no closet. They do have a rack on the wall if you need to hang stuff. This is better than the hotel we stayed at on our way here that was double the price. This place also has a pool and offers coffee in the morning with packaged pastries. So five stars. We won't go anywhere else if we come here again.
