TheHill Country doesn't get any more magical than Blue Skies. Long time listener, first time caller. I've always known they've done amazing things and had incredible stays out here, including from my partner who planned a full buy out for his buddy's bachelor party and they had a great time. My stay out here was nothing less than perfect.

The property is perfectly situated between Fredericksburg and Llano and lets you have the best of both worlds. IFYKY. Easy to pop into either town for a meal, provisions, or drinks, but if you want to spend more time in either, I recommend using a service like Weinheimer Tours to take care of the transportation safely. (Although, there's no real need to go into town other than for some basics.)

Blue Skies has the best night skies, unobstructed from town lights, providing the perfect view of stars and the moon on clear nights. The pavilion is a perfect place to gather as a group for a dinner, intimate concert, or a haven to enjoy your beverages over conversation. For the daytime, enjoy the pool and the slow mornings of the TX Hill Country.

If you want to venture out during the daytime, you have to go to Enchanted Rock, one of the most naturally pristine epicenters of why the TX Hill Country is so environmentally and culturally rich. This massive granite rock comes with stories of indigenous ceremonies and reverence, a place for hikers to see the vast view and landscapes of the hill country, and allows you to have a moment in nature unlike anything else. Wear shoes with good grip, pack some snacks, and enjoy the time. It probably takes about 45 minutes for a full climb depending on mobility, and with no rails or direct trails to get to the summit. When you make it to the top, it's nice to sit and take in the views, perfect for a light picnic.

Enchanted Rock is just about 10 minutes up the road from Blue Skies, showcasing its landmark location between everything you want to experience when you make your way west of Austin/San Antonio. Don't forget, Enchanted Rock State Park now requires a reservation in advance and most months of the year, you want to be finished with your hike by 11am.

Back to Blue Skies - the trailers are quaint, cozy and so perfectly comfy. It's great for a couple who wants to share a bed or a solo stay, but there is a daybed available in a few of the trailers if that's more comfortable. The AC is incredible in each trailer, and the mini fridge is somewhere between mini and full size. Enough to hold a few gallons of bottled water jugs, plenty of wine, and lots of snacks. The Pavilion area is spacious and lots of outlets for power, so great to set up for a concert, dinner, or other activities for the group.

The dreamiest part is probably the bathroom. Each trailer comes with its own personal bathroom. It's spacious, luxurious, and so well air conditioned. Enjoy a cozy robe, an outdoor shower, incredible natural lighting - ideal if you need to put on some make up, and a WC area with a door closure if you want some privacy from anyone you may be sharing a trailer with. (Please note, each trailer has its own bathroom and you are not sharing with strangers. Close walk and not far). The outdoor shower is made extra dreamy with fresh growing green plants and succulents, giving you the aroma of outdoors without having to decrease your luxury to a primitive camp experience. How they create the best of both worlds I will never know, but I certainly appreciate it!

With 5 trailers on the property, it's ideal for a birthday hang with friends, annual family trip with friends, or just a getaway with a friend or partner. You will not find a better price for accommodations anywhere in the Hill Country area, let alone with the privacy, glamour, and charm of why you want to enjoy this part of Texas in the first place.

It's quiet. It's serene. It's the perfect Texas Hill Country experience. If I had my perfect life, I'd be out here every weekend with my friends and family cheers'ing under the stars, celebrating life, and cherishing our time in nature (with indoor plumbing).

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Blue Skies Retro Resort! We were there for the Two-Stepping weekend, and it was such a fun and memorable experience. The resort itself is incredibly unique. I loved the retro feel and all the little details that make it feel like so much more than just a place to stay.

We happened to be there during the hottest part of the summer, but the camper’s AC worked amazingly well, and the pool was the perfect place to cool off. One of my favorite touches was the record player and collection of records in the camper - it really added to the whole retro experience and made our stay feel extra special.

The Two-Stepping weekend was absolutely fantastic! Casey and Atticus thought of everything and created such a fun and welcoming event. From the incredible musicians performing live on the patio to the dance lessons, activities, and wonderful local vendors, it was clear how much thought and care went into making the weekend so special. It was the perfect combination of a unique place to stay and an unforgettable experience.

One of the things I really love about Blue Skies is that there are only five campers on the entire property. It gives the resort such a private, intimate feel and would make an amazing getaway for a small group of friends or a family. And being so close to Fredericksburg makes it an ideal Hill Country escape...you get the peace and charm of being out in the country while still being close to great restaurants, wineries, shopping and everything Fredericksburg has to offer.

Blue Skies has such a great atmosphere, and you can tell the people behind it genuinely care about creating a memorable experience for their guests. We had a wonderful time and would definitely love to come back!

Blue Skies gave my husband and I the best weekend! The trailers are so cute and well equipped. The huge private bathroom was a game changer. We unloaded our luggage and toiletries there (they even have a hanging rack), which really freed up the space in the trailer. Everything is so thoughtful and we felt very taken care of. What's nice is you can do a bunch of activities nearby- Enchanted Rock, wineries, Fredericksburg- or just hang out and enjoy the property and the pool. There are beautiful views and the skies at night are great for star gazing. I also like that you can rent out the entire place for an event and it's not overwhelming, but everyone has their own space. We really enjoyed it and plan on returning with friends.

My stay was perfect! I was in the Estella camper and it was as cool as anything I could have expected. The mattress was crazy comfortable and everything inside was modernized. Plenty of outlets for charging, coffee maker, microwave and large refrigerator. The bath house was clean and nearly spa like with robes and plenty of towels. My favorite however was the solitude and beautiful TX sunrises and sunsets. I can’t wait to visit again. A wonderfully unique experience.

We rented out the resort for my wife's birthday and had the most amazing time. Close enough to Austin that it doesn't feel like you are driving forever, but far enough away to make you forget the grind. Management team was easy to communicate with and incredibly kind. We will be back!

Stayed here for an anniversary. The property is beautiful and very clean. The outdoor shower actually got warmer than I expected it to get. The staff was very responsive. It was quiet, serene and a much needed reset. I would definitely visit again.

Cozy little place out in the country. Recommend arriving in daylight so you can see what your doing, where things are located. Be prepared for the "outdoor" shower!! Water is warm at the faucet but very cold by the time it hits your backside!!!

The property is beautifully maintained, with retro RVs that feel unique and cozy. The pool area is amazing, and having a propane grill on site made outdoor meals really enjoyable. Everything was spotless and well cared for.

One of the best parts of our visit was planning our trip around a dark sky meteor shower—and the views did not disappoint! ✨ The night skies here are stunning, with clear views of the Milky Way and countless stars right above the resort. It was the perfect setting for stargazing together and made the whole experience magical.

If you’re looking for a special getaway with both comfort and a unique atmosphere, this is the place. Highly recommend and can’t wait to come back!

Everything was lovely at this resort. The bathrooms were inviting and clean and the outdoor showers were spacious. We ended up having the pool to ourselves and were able to relax in between zipping to enchanted rock or to Fredericksburg. Either was about a 15 minute drive. Do keep in mind that it seemed most restaurants closed at 9, but the resort did have a fridge with a small freezer compartment in the camper as well as a fridge in the bathroom. Do pack a pair of sandals, as while it was freshly mowed, stickers are impossible to avoid in Texas. There is turf around the pool and main building, but you will cross grass to get to your trailer. It's not perfectly dark at night due to neighbors with lights and headlights from the road, but it was still great for casual stargazing. I will bring some friends back for a quiet weekend around the fireplace with board games and snacks!

This was a pretty darn unique experience as far as stays go: cute campers set up with fridge, microwave, wifi and AC, situated on a nice site with good amenities, all just outside of the popular Fredericksburg TX. We had a few small issues during our stay that were resolved quickly, and communication was very responsive and thorough.

An absolute gem! Blue Skies Resort exceeded all expectations—from the beautifully designed accommodations to the peaceful surroundings. The property is well-maintained, and the amenities, including the stunning views, made it feel like a true getaway. The hosts were incredibly friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. Whether you're looking for a romantic escape or a quiet retreat, this is the perfect spot. Can't wait to return!

Unfortunately for us our stay was cut short by the fires and we only got to stay one night. However the facilities were extremely clean and there was a really nice view. The trailers were spread out nicely and it was a very peaceful night. We were called and checked on as soon as an evacuation order was given even though we were in town shopping. We were later called and got an apology about our stay even though this was mother nature and at no fault to the resort and they are issuing a refund. Looking forward to being able to return.

Great place to stay if you’re visiting Enchanted Rock/Fredericksburg wanting to be out in nature. The trailer I stayed in was clean and well-organized. When I was here there were no other guests so was super interesting to have the entire place to myself - was eerily quiet! Extremely simple check-in process too.

We had a great stay. It was quiet and nice. The bathroom and trailer were clean and organize. We stay here to go to Enchanted rock which is 17 min away and Fredericksburg downtown is about 10 min from here. Is a great location if you are planning to do that. Is also a great spot to stargaze.

My husband and I spent the weekend in the Miss Estella. It was amazing. I cannot wait to go back. The whole experience was lovely. From check in to check out everything went smoothly. It's so private and absolutely beautiful. The Miss Estella was cozy. The bed was so comfortable even for 2 people. It was quiet. The sunsets there are beautiful. The pool was so clean. I love the individual bathrooms for each Shasta. They are beautiful. Not going to lie the showers were a trip at first. But looking at the moon and the stars while listening to the music while showering was awesome.

I highly recommend sitting outside which ever Shasta you are staying in at night and just listening. I almost fell asleep out there I was so relaxed. I am back home, and I miss it so much. I want to be back at the Miss Estella. Whoever owns this place and manages it has done so much to make this an easy, relaxing and lovely place. Their attention to detail is appreciated.

Absolutely loved it. Don't come here with all your cooking items, Fredericksburg is just 15-minutes away. Enjoy the glamping experience. There is a restroom in-unit and there is a huge larger restroom and outdoor shower reserved specifically for each unit. The bed was insanely comfy and we kept talking about how we need the details for it. The views incredible, A/C worked flawlessly and kept us cool all day. Had coffee and all the basic necessities, even a hair dryer. Pool was freezing even in the summer but was so refreshing. Everything was meticulously designed and upkept excellently. Response from the host on Instagram and direct was smooth, prompt and flawless (no issues, I just tagged them in content and they were happy to see us having a good time!). One of the coolest experiences I've had, and I've had a lot. I will absolutely be back.

Stopped here on a Saturday, this place is nice and you get to experience life in a camper/rv. It's quiet here and we will make it back here with family. The personal bathrooms/shower are so nice! Definitely recommend this place! The RV is equipped with a record player, fridge, microwave and TV. Towels and washcloths in the bathroom and it's heated! We loved it!
