What makes it fun

Kalasi Cellars is a husband-and-wife-owned boutique winery, vineyard, and tasting room. We began growing grapes at Narra Vineyards, an estate vineyard in the Texas High Plains AVA. We believe producing our own grapes and making wine with them allows us to develop exceptional wines. Our tasting facility and winery are on over 16 acres of calm Texas Hill Country terrain. Five generations ago, our family farmed cocoa, coconuts, rice, and turmeric in India. Today, our family lives in Texas. Our heritage lives on, but we now plant wine grapes and make wine! In 2017, we began crafting Kalasi Cellars' first vintage. In recent years, we opened our Fredericksburg winery and tasting facility and brought optical grape sorting to Texas to greatly improve our wine quality.

Our experience at Kalasi was nothing short of amazing. Paul was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and patient as we talked through the variety of tasting options. He answered all of our questions with ease; you can tell he truly loves the wines himself and enjoys helping others navigate their perfect Kalasi palate. We ultimately ended up joining their wine club and have been so pleased with our collection so far!

Exceptional experience...quality wine even with standard wine tasting very friendly also it was like catching up with old friends it really shows they love what they do in the presentation! Definitely a must if you are in Fredericksburg TX

This was my first wine testing, so I didn’t know what to expect. Right away, Dana made us feel at home! We were celebrating my 35th birthday and this was definitely part of a memorable day. I learned so much and purchased an amazing bottle of Merlot. I would absolutely visit again.

Best wine tasting in Fredericksburg! The wine was great and so was the staff. Laura walked us through the tasting and was so knowledgeable. She really made it so enjoyable. I would definitely recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We went on a weekday during the first week of January. I like to try new wineries during slow times. Really enjoyed the wine and the gentleman who did the tastings. He was knowledgable about both the wine and the area, and was also extremely friendly.

The only negative I note is that both the owners walked through the tasting room while we were there (We recognized them from their photos,), and neither stopped to talk to any of the guests (6 total). We visited the winery because we heard them on Shelley Wilfong's podcast, and the fact that she'd studied under Dan Gatlin impressed me. They seemed really personable and interesting. We're members at a number of wineries, and our relationships with the owners and staff are the difference between the memberships we cycle through and the ones we maintain. At our top 2 or 3, the owners are the ones that convinced us to join because we liked them so much.

Again, minor point. We loved the wine (and bought some), and thoroughly enjoyed the tasting experience provided by staff.

Laura & Paul did such an amazing job articulating all of their amazing wines! Great wines I ended up getting the Kanchi 2017…so delicious!!! Highly recommend stopping for a wine tasting visit. Ask for them!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing wines and even more amazing people. The day we were there they were doing a wine and chocolate pairing. All were great alone and better together. We joined the club and walked out with wine and chocolate that day. Enjoying some of both now. Paul was amazing as well. Keep that lawn watered brother! I will.

From the moment we entered; myself, husband and dear friend, until the moment we left, we enjoyed every second of the tasting! Paul was very knowledgeable and so friendly. The history and beginning of Kalasi is a beautiful story. If your day is full of wine tastings and if you are “pacing” yourself, word to the wise, make sure to start with this winery. Don’t save it till the end. We went in as visitors and came out as members 😊. Cheers!

I visited Kalasi Cellars to celebrate my 40th birthday. I am not a drinker, but I’ve always been intrigued with wineries and the wine making process. It was simply amazing! We booked the Grower’s /Winemaker’s Seated Private Tasting with Nikhila, one of the owners. She was so kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. She answered all of our questions and made us feel so comfortable and welcomed! It was evident that she was passionate about her craft and understands how to produce a quality product. It honestly was the perfect choice and I’m so glad we had the opportunity to visit!

Had such a great time at this winery, and of course the wines are delicious! Paul was a great host and very personable. We appreciated the welcoming and authentic feel this place gave us, as well as the intentionality to everything, especially the wines themselves. This all made us quickly decide to become members! This was a winery we added after reading their story on line. We were not expecting too much given the age of the winery and the lack of competitive awards.

We were blown away. Our experience was by far one of the top two among the 8 vineyards we visited this trip. Greeted by personable and knowledgable staff we delighted in tasting the wines. We actually bought 3 bottles and joined their wine club.

Some of the reds need more time to become fully established but they are worthy of drinking now. We are not Rose vans but it was one of the bottles we bought because of its relatively dry nature for that varietal.

Our advice is GO....ENJOY SOME GREAT WINE
