The love and enthusiasm we have for Texas food and wine served as the driving force behind the creation of this destination, Hill & Vine. We are knowledgeable about wine, particularly Texas Wine. Our passion for traditional, high-quality Texan cuisine serves as the basis upon which our company was established. We were raised on all of Texas's finest flavors, from tender steaks to queso to fresh fish, and everything in between. Nothing but the very best that Texas has to offer.

This place has great vibes but the food was lacking flavor and they even served us old guacamole on the brisket nachos. I think if you just go for drinks and sit outside and chill its a good place for that, and is dog friendly outside, but I wouldn't go back to actually eat. I ordered the bolognese and it lacked flavor. The one good thing we did have here was the cornbread. That was great!

Always excellent food. Drinks were okay. But a good wine list. Had to get servers attention a couple of times. But it was busy.

We had a wonderful brunch. The carrot cake French toast was decadent. The H&V breakfast was tasty and hearty. Their avocado & lime salad and huevos rancheros were also great

The food was good. The wait staff was much more friendly than the people at the front.
The Texas sheet cake with Mexican vanilla ice cream was amazing.

Don’t look up at the decor, especially the chickens. There is at least a half an inch to an inch Of dust on them at first, I thought it was feathers! lol.

What an absolute gem of a find in Fredrickburg. From start to finish, the service was nothing short of exceptional. Our waiter, Simon, was just the best! Very attentive and gave great recommendations. You can't go wrong with any of the food choices! Everything was just great, from the service, to the food, to the overall vibe of the restaurant. It was so great we didn't hesitate to go back a 2nd time in our 3 day trip! Whenever I come back to Fredrickburg, I know where our go to spot for eating will be!

Wonderful restaurant just about two blocks off Main Street. Normal fare (gluten free options available) and savory desserts. Pictured is their individual Texas Sheet cake with Clear River vanilla ice cream. They do not take reservations so you might have to wait for a table but it is well worth it. Also, there is seating inside and out as well as a large community table. We walked but if you drive, please note that there is an entrance and a separate exit to the parking lot.

We ordered a dish with a side salad that never indicated that it had tree nuts. When the dish arrived we noticed the side salad had tree nuts and then we made the server aware of the tree nut allergy and sent the dish back and asked for a different side.
Once the new dish arrived we assumed the staff did the right actions and corrected the situation. We are currently at the hospital now as the staff had only swapped out the side salad and left everything cross contaminated which led to a severe allergic reaction.
We will never return to this location and advise anyone with allergies to heavily consider eating here.

The food was delicious I tried the steak and fries and my mom had the chicken schnitzel both were amazing! I also highly recommend the dessert because the croissants bread pudding was delectable!

This is a must do for a Fredericksburg trip! One of the best dining experiences in recent years. The food was all incredibly fresh and delicious. The ingredients were all great quality. The service was impeccable. We are in the outside dining area and it was so lovely and charming. Will make it a point to come back very soon!!

We took a group of 8 for brunch. Food was delicious! We tried a variety of dishes (see captions). A few hiccups on our orders but was remedied on the bill (thank you). Cute atmosphere and original dishes!

We came on a Saturday around 7 pm and there was a 20 minute wait for indoor dining. E started work the fried roadside pie and it was amazing!
The rest of our meal came out shortly!
Portions are generous!
There was a singer outside with plenty of fans.
