Our stay was short, just one night, but it was great. We would definitely return. It's a serene setting, and all the staff was extremely friendly.

We were in a one-bedroom unit, and it was decorated beautifully, comfortable seating in the living area, and the bed was very comfy. There was a lot of space. The bathrooms are larger than usual, with double sinks and plenty of counter space. Our unit had a shower and no tub, but that's all we needed.

We were there in cooler weather, but the pool and hot tub area is nice. Seems like a limited number of chairs, so depending on the weather, they might fill up quick. We did not have a spa visit, but saw a couple of people that did and they had great things to say.

The main building, The welcome Center, is large and has a really nice porch area overlooking the pool.

Note: We did not visit the restaurant, nor the tasting room.

Resort is cute and larger than expected. Staff seems friendly; property is pretty.

I’m here for a wedding (multiple rooms booked) and I’m a little bummed that they did nothing to acknowledge it’s my anniversary weekend. I wasn’t expecting much, but if you give guests the opportunity to add “special requests” in their booking but don’t follow up before arrival to arrange wine/flowers/chocolate, etc. then at minimum, acknowledging the special occasion at check in or with a kind note would be nice.

Rooms are spacious and come with two robes. WiFi is public. Amenities are modern.
The spa treatments are about $3 p/m, so fairly overpriced. Landscaping isn’t in bloom currently since it’s winter but I imagine in the spring/summer the roses would be lovely.

For the price of the stay for 3 nights you would've thought that the food and beverages were included in the stay, we paid a total of $867.00 and the amenities weren't at all good. The menu choice of food wasn't good either and to say that we had to pay for it didn't sit too well with me, we left the resort and went to 2 local restaurants and enjoyed the food. Whomever stayed in our room before us had a pet, the room was not cleaned good at all there was pet hair on the chair and on the bed so I'm assuming our sheets weren't swapped out for new clean ones. The scenery is beautiful so I'm not going to take away from that part. When ordered wine of the "Wine club member" menu I was told by our server that that wine is for Wine club members only, he never asked was we wine club members he just assumed we weren't and we were definitely wine club members. I don't want to make assumptions but I feel like he looked at the color of my skin and assumed that I wasn't a wine club member. I watched him ask others were they members before placing their orders but never asked us.

We had a reservation, we can't go. I called. No flexibility whatsoever with this 72 hour cancellation policy. So now we're out $297 and there's nothing we can do about it.
    Unbelievable .

This place is a gem in the hill country. It has everything. We spent an anniversary weekend here and had the most relaxing time. The wine tastings and the food were top notch. The staff is very friendly and we got to meet the owners which was a pleasure.

My wife and I recently spent a magical weekend at Carter Creek, and it exceeded every expectation we had. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning beauty of the property and the serene hill country surroundings.

The private villas were a perfect blend of luxury and comfort, providing us with a cozy and intimate retreat. Every detail was thoughtfully designed, making us feel pampered and at home.

As others have mentioned the staff was exceedingly kind and a pleasure to be around. Even when things didn’t go as expected which happens everywhere the ability for the staff to overcome and focus on making our experiences great really set this apart.

The food was simply outstanding. Every meal was a culinary delight, featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients that were expertly prepared. Dining at the resort was an experience in itself, one we looked forward to each day.

The spa was another highlight of our stay. The treatments were rejuvenating, and the staff was incredibly professional and attentive. It was the perfect way to unwind and relax.

One of the most impressive aspects of Carter Creek is their pet-friendly policy. We brought our furry friend along, and it was heartwarming to see how welcomed pets are at the resort. They truly go above and beyond to ensure every guest, including the four-legged ones, has an enjoyable stay.

The vineyard was absolutely breathtaking, and the wine selection was top-notch. We enjoyed exploring the vineyard and tasting the exquisite wines. It was a delightful experience that added a special touch to our weekend.

Overall, Carter Creek is a gem in the hill country. The combination of luxurious accommodations, delectable food, a relaxing spa, pet-friendly environment, and a beautiful vineyard makes it a perfect getaway. We can't wait to return and create more wonderful memories here. Highly recommend!

We had a delightful time for a weekend stay, what a great value this place is! The grounds are beautiful, just walking around, the plants and flowers all over are so nice. Pool and hot tub and everything else looked very well maintained. The villas are super nice and roomy, we enjoyed just sitting in our room listening to music by the (electric) "fire". But the best part is having a winery, brewery, spa and restaurant on grounds! Every staff member we encountered was fabulous and so friendly, but especially Becky and John at the winery and Judy at the bar of the old 290 Brewery. The wines are great, dinner was amazing and El Bigote beer brewed here is the BEST! Also enjoyed the live music and the Christmas lights outside. We will definitely be back to Carter Creek!

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend so we could attend the WineJam. We drove in late Friday evening, tired and hungry. Walked over to the restaurant where Marshall our server was fantastic. We had a couple of appetizers he suggested that we're perfect! Along with some great tasting wine. The next morning before the WineJam we stopped in for breakfast and once again Marshall was our server. Breakfast was very good . And the service was great. While my wife was getting ready before breakfast, I walked over to the restaurant and picked up 2 cups of coffee before breakfast. No questions asked. My wife needs her coffee. The entire trip was great and the location and comfort of the Carter Creek resort was the cherry on top. We had a wonderful time here. Be back next year for more relaxation and a whole lot of wine drinking. 🍷

Took my wife for her birthday. Great location. We didn’t have to go into Fredericksburg to enjoy some wine tastings. The room was very clean and comfortable. We ate at the restaurant and it was also very good. We came back for the evening music and relaxed in the lounge chairs while enjoying some wine.

This is not a Vegas or Florida 5 start resort but everything they offer is quality and very good. A weekend getaway is perfect and relaxing
Highly recommend we will be back.

The experience is fantastic! We had a baby to take a nap in the afternoon and the front desk staff allowed us to check in earlier than scheduled, that's the most things to us and we really appreciated it, otherwise we need to hold the baby in the arm to sleep for >1 hour. They are so friendly to family with little ones. Also the location is great. You can visit the exotic zoo nearby and the historical museum. The evening concert is also attractive and they even hire photographer to take pictures to guests and send us for free.

A great value for the $! We stayed here one night - rooms are spacious and clean, it felt more like a small studio apartment. Love the front porch, ease of parking and beautiful landscaping. The pool was refreshing and the views from the main clubhouse 2nd story are breathtaking.

It was also really special staying on the grounds of the winery as we could walk by the vineyards and easily walk to our tasting. We did dine at the Old 290 Brewery & Restaurant as well, and while our service and the beer was really good, we weren't very impressed by the food.

However, everyone at this resort & spa was friendly, helpful and warm. It truly felt like a pleasant reset in the hill country. Thank you!
