The Carriage House Fredericksburg surpassed my expectations! It has rich history, a “historic home” personality, luxurious decor and bedding while also offering feels-like-home comfort!! The equestrian decor is absolutely stunning.

Our hosts, the Wahrmund’s, were incredibly warm and helpful. Their restaurant and winery recommendations were top notch.

We walked to dinner and shopping. That was such a bonus! Not only did it feel great to go for a nice walk after dinner, but there were no worries with driving home if you wanted a second or third glass of wine.

Highly recommend the Carriage House!!

This was by far the cutest, most comfortable place we have ever stayed in!! Impeccably decorated in French country blue and white with a little yellow!! One big room that included a huge comfy bed, a large sofa, a kitchenette with a Keurig, a microwave, a mini fridge, a toaster,,, all one could need for a few nights!! So close to Main Street, a muffin shop and a pie shop with pies to die for!! Melanie, you are awesome!! We loved our place!!

What a perfect location for my cousin & I to stay at for our girl's only weekend. It's close enough to Main St., but the neighborhood was quiet with not a lot of traffic.

We booked the Cottage House & it was like stepping back in time to a quaint English cottage (hence the name.) The decor was perfectly themed with an overstuffed sofa & humongous bed. We also lucked out with perfect weather to be able to enjoy the evening on the outside courtyard.

Several other reviewers had issues, but we had no complaints with lack of interaction with the owners. Then again we didn't expect to. Nor did we have complaints about the high bed since the website clearly showed this & the step stools were provided. Plus, anyone that has ever lived in Texas with a window unit AC knows they run continuously in the heat & are typically not quiet.

Giving this place a well deserved 5 stars!

So different from your motels and hotels, the little cabins and patios make you feel like you're at home. Shady little nooks with a fireplace. We stayed in the tank house. Fabulous bed, with pillows enough for ANYONE.
Friendly and helpful owners, this place is so PEACEFUL!
Historic downtown only two blocks away. Of particular interest to me, being ex Navy, is the Admiral Nimitz World War I I museum is what, two blocks away?
Prices are very reasonable for what you get. When I have occasion to stay in Fredericksburg, you can bet that I will be staying here. I love it.

LOVED this adorable B&B! My husband and I stayed in The Loft and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect weekend getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and there were even fresh baked cookies waiting for us as soon as we walked in. There is a little round table with chairs if you decide to dine in, a very large comfy couch, an ottoman, a coffee maker, stove and oven, refrigerator, pots/pans/utensils, a ridiculously tall bed that requires the use of a step stool (which is also provided), and a day bed off to the corner in case there's more than two people sleeping over. Each person is given a $10 breakfast/lunch voucher that is valid at 4 different restaurants nearby which is perfect since you're not at the mercy of someone else's taste and time. The location is in a nice, quiet neighborhood and less than a 5 minute drive to downtown. I genuinely cannot recommend this place enough!
