Absolutely great dinner dining experience for our Anniversary. My husband made a reservation about a month ago and day of requested a seat against the wall (not in the middle of the room) for more privacy and they were able to accommodate. I recommend requesting a downstairs seating arrangement if you are unable to do stairs.
Location: right off the road, easy to miss the sign if you're not really looking for it. We actually passed it and had to turn around. The actual restaurant sits off the roadway down its own little driveway. Parking onsite and was easy to find on our Saturday night reservation.
Atmosphere: very classy. Outside seating area beautiful with large water fountains and koi pond with table candlelight. Inside also cozy with upstairs & downstairs seating- all tables no booths. Very clean. Wine bottles decorate the walls. Not white table cloth but nice tables with table candlelight. Nice dinnerware.
Attire: there was a mixture of casual (jeans and blouse/regular cotton collared shirt) & dress (dresses and nice jeans with nice long sleeve button up shirt). I suppose treat it however you want based on the occasion. I wore a black dress and my husband wore a black button down collared shirt with nice jeans.
Service: Very friendly and welcoming from the start to end. Our waitress Rouge was very sweet. She brought us to our table and told us the story about the wine bottles on the walls. She was in no rush to seat us and leave. She took her time telling us about scanning the QR code for the menu. Rich, Our waiter was very nice as well. He was patient and able to recommend/describe any entree & dessert.
Food: prior to our meal, we were given a complimentary carrot soup- it was warm and amazing. Our entrees came out pretty quick. It was warm and served on a hot plate. We both got their chicken fried ribeye topped with lobster & gravy with mashed potatoes. The breading on the ribeye was absolutely delicious and crunchy. The steak itself was good but could use a little seasoning. The lobster was soft and flavorful. The gravy was also delicious (more please!). The mashed potatoes were decent, definitely needed salt. For dessert we ordered the butterscotch bread pudding with salted caramel ice cream 20/10 you must get it! The bread pudding was warm, crunchy on the top & soft inside. A mixed bite of the pudding, ice cream, and berries were perfection. Definitely top 2 of our favorite desserts at a restaurant, right after Gordon Ramsay's sticky toffee pudding. We did not order any wine but saw plenty of people with it at their tables.
Pricing: this is a more upscale restaurant, so expect to pay more than your typical restaurant. Our total was $100.14 with 2 chicken fried steaks ($39), 1 tea, and the bread pudding dessert ($11). Again, didn't order wine but saw the menu ranged about $12-15 per glass and about $40-150 per bottle. Appetizers $11-16. Steaks $37-56. Quail $34 and chicken $28. Seafood $28-34. Desserts $11-12.
Overall, if you're looking for good food or a place for a special dinner, I would recommend this restaurant. The ambiance, service and food were all good. They do seem to work hard to keep their place clean, classy and enjoyable.
