There are meals you enjoy, and then there are meals you remember forever. My evening at Bryan’s on 290 was the latter. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was being swept into a story—warm, welcoming, and magical.

The brussel sprouts were nothing short of enchanting—crispy little bites of perfection that set the tone for what was to come. The ceviche was pure artistry, so fresh and vibrant it felt like sunshine on a plate, easily the best I’ve ever tasted. To pair with it, I tried their Mexican martini—bright, bold, and outstanding, the kind of cocktail that lingers in your memory long after the glass is empty.And then came the dark chocolate crème brûlée, a dessert that felt like a love letter—rich, velvety, and unforgettable.

Everything about Bryan’s on 290 whispered of care, passion, and a desire to make each guest feel special. It wasn’t just dinner; it was an experience that lingered long after the last bite. I’ll be dreaming about it until I can return.

This place never disappoints, everything we've order is right on the spot. We've been spoiled with fancy restaurants in the big city, but I tell you, this place is high class, food is delicious and ambiance is great. Highly recommended!

Bryan’s was an experience like no other! The yellowtail sashimi (with pistachio) was amazing! We had the bone-in NY Strip! We ate it with a BUTTER KNIFE!!! That’s gotta tell you how tender it was way! We will plan a trip to visit Johnson City- just to visit this restaurant again! Thank you the amazing Chef!

I went for a birthday to bryans on 290 and it was great. I had the special of the night which was scallops and muzzles in a gumbo sauce over grits, Also had the beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes. Both plates were delicious, will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I had a fabulous dinner at Bryan’s. We were celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday and everything was perfect. From the food to the atmosphere and service, we could not have asked for better!

My dad and I had a great experience. It was a Tuesday evening so not busy at all, our waitress was knowledgeable and attentive. My dad and I wanted to split our steaks, I got the tenderloin and he got the ribeye, and they did it for us without us asking. Both steaks were cooked to temperature and had a great crust. The garlic mash potatoes had great flavor. Blue crab dip came with some amazing bread, we attempted the lemon cheesecake but barely had room.

I thought the prices were fair and why fight traffic and parking in Austin with higher prices for the same quality when I can drive the same 40 mins from Drip to Bryan's? As with most nice restaurants, not a place for kids.

Can't wait to try the Schnitzel next time...We'll be back!

Our first evening in Johnson City for the winter, and we have already found a gem! Everything about Bryans was excellent. The food was delicious. My wife had a smoked lamb shank and I had the duck breast. Both were perfectly cooked and rather yummy! Our server, Jules, was amazing! Thanks so much for a wonderful evening! We'll certainly be back!

What a wonderful gem in Johnson City! The service was phenomenal, food was out of this world, and their Texas wine selection was great compared to other local options. I loved that they had jazz music playing all night and that they had such a personable approach to making our time there worth while!
