Barons Creekside is a romantic cabin resort in the midst of a beautiful vineyard. Switzerland-based Dr. Daniel Meyer fell in love with Texas Hill Country after staying at The Barons Log Cabin in Fredericksburg one night. He bought 26 acres and built his own Swiss Log Cabin hamlet on an undeveloped meadow. He built an Alpine-style brook with a waterfall and thousands of hand-placed boulders and rocks. He refurbished the Hilltop Chalet, Big Lodge, Victorian, and Mesquite Farmhouse and planted over 150 native Texas trees. He then built a Swiss Log Cabin hamlet in the property's center. He built his fantasy village one cabin at a time using historic pieces of his 250-year-old Swiss farmhouse. The Log Cabins are ideal for romantic and reconnecting couples.

The location is perfect. The cabin we stayed in was outfitted with a small kitchenette, Jacuzzi tub, which was perfect for a romantic getaway. The theme was cute, and the deer, and ducks were everywhere! It was so nice to have deer eat out of your hand. My wife and I walked all over the grounds in the evenings.

I reserved Barons Cabin for mine and my wife’s 9 year anniversary as a surprise for her. Everything was amazing and she was awestruck at both the cabin and grounds (I had seen pictures and she hadn’t seen anything). The cabin was perfect for our one night stay and we cannot wait to go back and stay longer next time. We were even visited by a momma deer and her two babies and a precious little black cat our son named Snuggles.

The check in/out is a breeze. The musicians and singers are so talented at the Club. The Club staff are very attentive and kind. The cabins are very clean and wonderful details you don’t find anywhere else.

Brought my sister here and she was truly amazed and intend to return. You could see the regular maintenance of the cabins and property being done that makes it better every time I visit. I’m a regular who just is in love with Barons CreekSide.

First stay at Baron’s and it was magical. Incredible location and loved the peace and quiet alongside the cabins which were amazing. Serenity in Hills. Our cabin, Interlaken had everything you need plus great view of the creek. The Club is great! Daniel and Deb are amazing hosts and make your experience one to remember. The entire property is amazing - already introduced this place to our friends and can't wait to return.

This is our 4th time staying at Barons CreekSide. Every time is better than the last. This was the first time we brought our kids and our parents. We were there for Christmas and they thoughtfully set up a Christmas tree, which was a lovely surprise upon arrival.

The land is serene and peaceful, close to main street. Can't wait to return.

What a treasure. We had a super cute cabin, beautifully decorated that also had nice scents and Christmas decorations, situated near the picturesque creek. It was quiet and private yet so close to Main Street. The music was nice and the wine fantastic. With each bottle we open at home, we’ll have a reminder to book sooner next time so we can stay in this little piece of heaven for more nights.

This was our first stay at Baron’s and it did not disappoint. First class all the way. Our cabin, Kussnacht, was cozy and romantic, and we enjoyed a great view of the creek where we watched the birds and deer everyday from the hot tub. Great live music and awesome food at The Club. Daniel and Deb are amazing hosts and so much fun to talk to. The entire property is gorgeous. We are already planning next years visit to Barons Creekside. A highly recommended getaway!

Barons is by far our favorite place to stay in Fredericksburg! The cabins are so unique and cozy. We love to try out a new one each time we stay there. The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. Daniel is the ultimate host, always friendly and loves to stop and talk. The Club on the property is a must visit as well! Love the live music, wine and food. Go and stay at Baron’s CreekSide, you will not regret it!

We spoke with Deb by phone making our reservation and she was incredibly helpful and pleasant and gave us great dinner recommendations. Daniel was a gracious host at The Club. Checking in and checking out was remarkably efficient. Our Farmhouse cottage was appropriately priced and had very thoughtful touches in a peaceful setting. It was a lovely experience and we will not hesitate to return.

This is our second time visiting Baron's CreekSide for our anniversary. The owners are so nice and helpful. We stayed first in the Geneva and then this time in the Rhinefalls. Both cabins were amazing. The ducks and the lighted atmosphere at night is wonderful to help you unwind. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time. The cabins are all so nice, very cabin-y for sure. The Club had some good food and good music. The location of the resort was very close to main Street. Loved the deer at night and early in the morning. Nice place to unwind and be with nature. Definitely recommend to get away for a while. We stayed at the puppy friendly cabin.
